My name is David Burns and I started DW Building Consultancy to offer quality, experienced and professional building surveying advice with a personal touch.
Having worked as a building surveyor in the corporate world of real estate for 25 years, most recently as a Partner at Knight Frank LLP, I decided that the industry was missing good, experienced, high level advisers who care about the service they provide and the need to be responsive and flexible when dealing with clients.
Over the years, I have seen first hand, across the industry, too many important projects handled by naive, inexperienced or blinkered advisors, and I have seen too little care and attention given to what should be highly valued instructions.
As a small business DW Building Consultancy cares about your project as much as you do, and the advice you get is always going to be top level, highly experienced advice.
I’m based in Harrogate and predominantly work on projects across North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire, including Leeds, York, and Bradford. However, I am able to work nationally and I’m more than happy to travel in order to manage projects across the UK.
